Readers Circle With Chelsea: Six Dots! #Educational #Braille

Six Dots is an inspiring picture-book biography of a blind boy so determined to read that he invented his own alphabet. Chelsea and I really love that we are able to learn about the man that created braille. It is great to have this resource for the blind to still be in touch with the world like every one else. They are able to read books just like every one else. One thing I wish though was to have one page of the book indented so that you can feel it just like the blind are able to do it just would make this book even more educational. Continue reading

Laundry Time with Downy! #DownyBall #Laundry

My husband and I are constantly trying to find ways to get rid of the static cling and sometimes those pesky dryer sheets just don’t cut it. I am glad to have the downy ball. You just fill it up with your softener, close it up and toss it in your washer machine. The downy ball pops open at the perfect time without any hassle or large messes.  Continue reading

Reader’s Circle With Chelsea: City Block! #LetsLearnAboutTheCity #CityBlock #Preschool

Chelsea really enjoys books where she is able to learn about something. This book teaches her about things that go, things to see and things to eat while in the City. We love that this teaches Chelsea so much. We love that it is a board book so I can be handled well by 3 to 5 year olds.

510a1qhtvtl-_sx421_bo1204203200_Cityblock explores city life in an exciting and unique way, from up in a high-rise building to down in the subway. Divided into three sections—things that go, things to see, and things to eat—it features 24 different aspects of city living. As with the other acclaimed books in the series, die-cut icons hint at the larger context on the next spread. Each section opens with a full city scene but gradually focuses in on the small, unique neighborhoods that make the city large and grand. This clever book will attract young readers living in a metropolis as well as those in the countryside with urban life that pops off each page.

Readers Circle With Chelsea: I Heart Naptime Cookbook! #Cooking #EasyMeals #naptimecookbook

Chelsea is the type of child that loves to learn how to cook. I haven’t really been the cooking type of person so the mix of personalities is helping me learn how to cook different meals. I know that my husband really appreciates it when I try to cook different meals and keep up with all of the housework. So I really like to take advantage of my daughter’s nap time. It gives me the time to myself to get things done that I normally would not be able to with her around. I love having the peace and quiet around the house.  Continue reading

Reader’s Circle With Chelsea: Lifecycles Series! #ToddlerFavorites #ReadersCircle #Lifecycles

Chelsea and I really enjoy books that are educational and the Lifecycles Series is just that. Life Cycles teach you about how Frogs start as Tadpoles, Acorns to Oak Trees, Eggs to Chickens, Eggs to Bees, Caterpillars to Butterflies, & Seeds to Sunflowers.  When we visit my parents house we get to see the chickens growing and sunflowers growing. These books really help Chelsea and I learn about how these grow and change.

51abndocbfl-_sx258_bo1204203200_These books are great for reading with Preschoolers and even toddlers. I know that we will definitely be sharing this series with my niece as she will enjoy them as well. These books go along with our adventures. Chelsea was enjoying the acorns and oak trees while we were camping so having these books helps teach Chelsea how they grow. These books are just perfect for Chelsea she is constantly wanting to learn how these animals and plants grow.

Adventures with Coley & Chelsea! #SeaquestAquarium #BoulevardMall

Chelsea and I are getting excited for when the Aquarium is supposed to be opening. We know that we have a little more than a month to go! We have been counting down the months. We really love animals and truly enjoyed ourselves when we went to the aquarium of the pacific with a family this past spring. We plan on spending at least half a day every other week here at the aquarium and at the mall. Boulevard Mall is turning into a place that is centered around entertainment for families with small children. They have a little amusement park for kids with a choo choo train, carousel, and a few other rides. They also have John’s Incredible Pizza attached to the mall.

John’s Incredible Pizza is our go to place for our family dates. We love that the food is buffet style so that everyone gets what they like. Chelsea and I really enjoy spending our time playing the games, watching the televisions and just getting out.
