Time to reflect on the happenings! #Garden #Life #LifeMovesOn

Sometimes I feel that in order to make your life better you need to adjust yourself around others. I have noticed that since my daughter and I have been staying on top of keeping our backyard clean we have been able to enjoy ourselves so much better. She is able to take her toys to the backyard and just play. This year we lost 2 of our dogs so even though that was tragic it was for the better. We really have been able to keep on top of our chores and keep our home clean for the most part. Continue reading

Getting Healthy: Sometimes Motivation is needed! #FitBit #Walking #Exercise

Since my daughter was born for some reason I just kept gaining weight. I know that I have been having issues with my anxiety and sometimes my stress level. I am sadly the type of person that needs some comfort and sometimes I get it from the wrong places for example food and sodas. Those items have really taken a toll on my body. Back in 2010 I was a little heavier than I am now and managed to drop my weight down by a little over 100lbs in a matter of a year and a half. Certain levels in my system were too high and I was able to get everything back to the normal range. About a month and a half ago I was almost to that high point again. Continue reading

Adventures with Coley & Chelsea: Summer Camping Trip at Idyllwild California Part 1!

Chelsea and I love when we are able to go camping with my dad and my step mom Denise. I love that it is always so peaceful and you are able to set aside your daily stresses. We really are able to just relax. This trip was not as long as our usual trips. We spent Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon camping. Our drive both ways was a little over 6 hours as we  had to stop many times. Even though Chelsea is almost 4 years old sometimes its best to let her stretch her legs and go for potty breaks.

This was the first time that we had been to this camping site so we didn’t really know what to expect. Earlier in July I had started using my new fitbit to track my steps and give me motivation to lose the weight I need to and become healthy again. I had been struggling to lose weight and to get active again for sometime now. This fitbit has really given me the motivation to keep going. I wasn’t expecting the strenuous walking experience when we got to the campgrounds. I was already passed my goal of 7000 steps by the time we got to our destination. My dad wanted to go for a walk after dinner and to show us where the pool was as well as the horses. I didn’t really think that it was that steep at first but about halfway I started struggling. I have a bad knee so my knee was beginning to hurt but I pushed through it as that was the only thing I could do. There was no other way back to our campground. Stopping at the horse corral was a great way to give me a break before we began walking again. After all of that I ended up with over 12000 steps for the day.  We even played a game of 10 penny before heading to bed. Continue reading
