Chelsea and I love when we are able to go camping with my dad and my step mom Denise. I love that it is always so peaceful and you are able to set aside your daily stresses. We really are able to just relax. This trip was not as long as our usual trips. We spent Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon camping. Our drive both ways was a little over 6 hours as we had to stop many times. Even though Chelsea is almost 4 years old sometimes its best to let her stretch her legs and go for potty breaks.
This was the first time that we had been to this camping site so we didn’t really know what to expect. Earlier in July I had started using my new fitbit to track my steps and give me motivation to lose the weight I need to and become healthy again. I had been struggling to lose weight and to get active again for sometime now. This fitbit has really given me the motivation to keep going. I wasn’t expecting the strenuous walking experience when we got to the campgrounds. I was already passed my goal of 7000 steps by the time we got to our destination. My dad wanted to go for a walk after dinner and to show us where the pool was as well as the horses. I didn’t really think that it was that steep at first but about halfway I started struggling. I have a bad knee so my knee was beginning to hurt but I pushed through it as that was the only thing I could do. There was no other way back to our campground. Stopping at the horse corral was a great way to give me a break before we began walking again. After all of that I ended up with over 12000 steps for the day.
